Professional Bio
Melissa Feeney is a Toronto-based marketing professional with experience in building relationships with brands and their stakeholders. Having worked in both the private and public sectors, she is currently the Social Media Manager for TIFF, where she play’s an active role in developing and implementing comprehensive short and long-term strategic social media plans that strengthen the TIFF brand and grow its reach online.
Melissa also co-organized Toronto’s first WordCamp in 2008 as well as in 2010. The social media unconference for WordPress enthusiasts, brought leading WordPress users to Toronto to showcase their knowledge of the world’s largest blogging platform to the local tech community.
5 things you will probably find me doing:
1) Writing for/reading blogs
2) Having dinner with friends
3) Attending local social media/tech events
4) On a date with my laptop at the coffee shop
5) Playing dodgeball
Why do I write my blog? Well, partly because I want an outlet to express my thoughts and also because I want to share with you the things that I think are interesting and hopefully you find them interesting too.

Oooh, pretty site. Wordcamp sounds fun, will definitely be attending!
WordCamp was great! Thanks to you and Matthieu for organizing it. As I wrote to Matthieu, I had a great time, met lots of new people and learned a lot of new things about WordPress. It was also more than a treat seeing a preview of version 2.7. If you’re planning another WordCamp, I’ll definitely be there.
